3 things were learnt from our trip to Barcelona last year. Firstly, Primavera Sound 2014 festival was a load of crap. Secondly, there were thieves literally everywhere. And thirdly- there was at least one excellent falafel shop. The Barcelona Falafel scene was not half bad.

Nestled just past George Orwell Plaza, a square that had particular resonance for me, this little gem easily beat the over priced specialty vegan place next to it. It was the perfect place to relax with a falafel after a trying few days. The staff were friendly, and they had the options of both hummus and baba ganoush, a refreshing change to the usual mayonnaise or hummus dressings. It would not be an exaggeration to say it was the highlight of my trip, and I presumptuously asked for both of these atop my substantial falafel wrap. There was some discussion over this bold move, but we agreed a price and resolved it in an amicable manner.

Other points to note- the falafel itself was not too dry and crucially, I was not over full afterwards.
However, a young staff member pointed us in completely the wrong direction for our next destination- the grunge bar “Nevermind”. We were wandering around for hours.

Aprendimos tres cosas durante nuestra viaje a Barcelona el año pasado. Por la primera, Primavera Sound 2014 fue un monton de mierda. Secunda, había ladrònes en todas partes.Y por fin, Barcelona contiene por lo menos una tienda de falafel que es excellente. La escena falafel de Barcelona no estaba nada mal.

Enclavado unos metros fuera de Plaza de George Orwell, un plaza que contiene importancia profundo para me, este pequeña tesora fácilmente lencio el vegano caro restarante de al lado. Fue el lugar perfecto pasar tiempo despues algunas dias duros. Los empleados estaban amicables y tuvieron los opciones de ambos hummus y baba ganoush, un cambio muy interesante y refrescante. No es un exageración a decir que esto falafel experiencia fue el punto culminante de mi viaje. Con presunción, pedi ambos de los aderezos encima de mi sustancial falafel envoltura. Hubo un pequena discusion sobre esto mova audaz pero fue resuelto de manera amistosa.

Otros puntos a tener en cuenta: el propio falafel no fue demasiado seco y, fundamentalemente, no fui demasiado llena después. Sin embargo, un trabajadoro joven nos dijo el completemente equivacado camino a nuestra proxima lugar el barra de grunge se llama ‘Nevermind.’ Caminamos alrededar durante horas.
